Personal Life

Introduction to Computing -

My father started me down the path of computing at a very young age. A computer was purchased for our family in the late 90's and was used as a tool to teach me how to diagnose and troubleshoot problems.

Later in life before I had turned 18 my father had passed away and I became homeless. However, I knew I had to honor his legacy so I continued to learn everything and anything I could about the world of computers.

I attended Columbia Basin Job Corps from 2006 to 2009, earning an A+ and CCNA certification as well as an Associates Degree from Big Bend Community College.

After graduating Big Bend Community College, I found a position as a Desktop Technician for the Moses Lake School District. I worked hard and diligently and later became the Network Administrator.

With the idea of furthering my career and providing for my family, I attended Western Governor's University and earned a Bachelors of Science in Information Technology.

A new opportunity arose at Big Bend Community College as the Network Engineer. The want to advance my career and work in higher education appealed greatly to me. In 2015 I became the Network Engineer at Big Bend Community College and while I enjoy working here I am looking for more opportunities.

Home Life -

I met my wife in 2009 and we welcomed our first daughter in 2012. A few years later in 2016 we welcomed our second daughter. During this time we also purchased our home, within a matter of 10 years I went from homeless to homeowner. Sadly, my wife passed away in 2021 from a rare disease called Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension.

It is now my mission to honor her legacy and raise my children to the best of my ability.
